Short version: we collect what we need to send you a cup and nothing else. We don’t sell your data. Ever.
Who we are
Sips Stitches and Sass (“we”, “us”) runs this site and the shop behind it. For anything in this policy, contact us at hello@sipsstitchesandsass.com.
What we collect
- Order details — your name, email, shipping and billing address, phone number if you give one, and what you bought. We need these to make and send your order.
- Payment details — handled entirely by our checkout provider (Shopify) and its payment processors. We never see or store your full card number.
- Messages you send us by email, so we can reply and keep a record of what was agreed.
- Basic usage data — pages visited, rough location from your IP, device and browser type. Used to understand what’s working on the site.
What stays on your own device
Your shopping bag is stored in your browser’s local storage on your own computer or phone. It is not sent to us and we cannot read it. Clearing your browser data empties it.
Why we use it
- To take payment, make your order and get it to you
- To email you about that order — confirmation, tracking, problems
- To answer your questions and handle replacements
- To keep the shop working, prevent fraud, and meet our tax and legal obligations
- To measure how the site is used, and, if you opted in, to advertise
Who else is involved
We use a small number of companies to run the shop. They only get what they need, and they aren’t allowed to use it for their own purposes:
- Shopify — the checkout, payments and order records.
- Printify and its US print partners — they receive your name, address and what you ordered so they can print and post it.
- Shipping carriers — to deliver the parcel and provide tracking.
- Analytics and advertising partners where enabled, including TikTok, Pinterest and Google — these may set cookies and measure whether an ad led to a purchase.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces on this site, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
- Shopify’s image CDN serves the product photos, for the same reason.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies
The checkout needs cookies to work at all. Analytics and advertising cookies are set by the partners listed above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers have a “Do Not Track” setting; blocking everything may break the checkout.
How long we keep things
Order records are kept for as long as we need them for accounting and tax — generally several years. Emails are kept while they’re useful for supporting you. Anything else is deleted when it stops being needed.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email hello@sipsstitchesandsass.com and we’ll do it — usually within a few days, and always within 30. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to certain processing, to receive a copy of your data in a portable format, or to complain to your local data protection authority. We will never treat you differently for exercising any of these.
Children
This shop isn’t intended for children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we’ll delete it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and payment happens on Shopify’s secure checkout. No system is perfectly secure, but we don’t hold card data at all, which removes the riskiest part of the problem.
Changes
If this policy changes we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
